Camden, NJ –
The Camden Schools Foundation is proud to announce the honorees for the 10th Annual Hall of Fame Dinner and Fundraiser! The event will take place on May 20, 2021 at Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield, NJ.
In honor of the 10th Hall of Fame event, this year there will be a special “Founders Honor” to be presented to:
Harvey Johnson
Judge, Partner at Duane Morris Law Firm, community activist, and Founder of the Camden Schools Foundation.
In 2005 Harvey had a vision to start a foundation for the schools in Camden, similar to those supporting schools in the wealthier surrounding districts. Today, thanks to his vision, the Camden Schools Foundation has distributed over $1 million in scholarships and grants to the students and schools in Camden. We are excited to honor Harvey with this special award.
Additionally, we are proud to welcome the following individuals into the Camden Schools Foundation Hall of Fame:
Scott “Big Scott” Shepherd
Camden High Class of 1984, entertainment producer, community event planner, and philanthropist.
Valerie Still
Camden native, all-time leading scorer for University of Kentucky basketball, WNBA player and coach, author, and philanthropist.
Aletha R. Wright (posthumously)
Former Camden County Freeholder (among many other civic roles) and lifelong advocate for children and families in Camden.
