Camden Schools Foundation Announces Scholarship Recipients

(Camden, NJ) – The Camden Schools Foundation (CSF) has announced the names of the recipients of their annual scholarship. On June 21, 2022, 30 local high school seniors were each awarded a $2,500 scholarship for college expenses. The foundation has awarded more than $1.3M in scholarships and grants throughout Camden over the past 16 years.

“These students are our heroes. They represent all five public high schools,” said Jack Tarditi, CSF Board President. “We couldn’t be prouder of all they have accomplished, and we wish them all the success as they move on to college.”

The Foundation handed out the scholarship checks at a reception ceremony with photo opportunities and guest speakers. “I am overjoyed and so grateful for the partnership with the Camden Schools Foundation. Because of our ongoing relationship, we are able to award students not only with financial support, but with continuous commitment to ensure their next season is their best season,” said Katrina T. McCombs, State District Superintendent, Camden City School District.

“These students embody our most valuable resource and an investment in them is an investment in Camden’s future,” said Camden Mayor Victor Carstarphen. “As Camden rises, it’s important that we celebrate the talented young people who are making a difference in the community. I commend the Camden Schools Foundation for supporting and recognizing these students as they excel academically. This represents another step towards a bright future for these scholars.”
