The Camden Schools Foundation Hall of Fame is a distinguished group of men and women who are Camden city residents or graduated from Camden schools and have made significant contributions to the regional community.

2026 Founder's Honor Recipients

Reworld, is a Camden, New Jersey–based business. Their mission is to build a smarter, more sustainable waste solutions company that formerly operated under the name Covanta based in Moorestown NJ. They provide services like waste to energy conversion, metal recycling, hazardous waste treatment and other sustainable waste management solutions for business and municipalities.
The company aims to turn waste into resources such as electricity, recycled materials or engineered fuels, rather than simply disposing of it. Reworld operates facilities that burn wastes to produce electricity which powers home as business the company recovers metals from the waste stream for recycling and transforms waste into fuels for industrial uses. 

“1st Colonial” most commonly refers to 1st Colonial Community Bank, a community-oriented bank with branches in Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. It is the main operating entity of 1st Colonial Bancorp, Inc., which is its parent company.
The bank was founded in 2000 and provides a range of personal and business financial services. 1st Colonial bank has a shared commitment to both the economic and societal well-being of the community it serves.

Gloria Bonilla-Santiago, Ph.D

Dr. Gloria Bonilla-Santiago is a Board of Governors Distinguished Service Professor in the Graduate Department of Public Policy and Administration at Rutgers University–Camden, where she also directs the Community Leadership Center and serves as Board Chair of the LEAP Academy University Charter School.
 

Tasha Smith Actress, Director, Producer

Tasha Smith from Camden New Jersey is an acclaimed actress, director, and producer whose dynamic career spans some of Hollywood’s most celebrated films and television series. She first gained critical acclaim in HBO’s Emmy-winning The Corner and later became a fan favorite as Angela in Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married films. On television, Smith led Perry’s For Better or Worse for six seasons and brought unforgettable energy to hit shows like Empire and Netflix’s Survival of the Thickest

Samantha Collazo, M.D

Dr. Samantha Collazo, a proud Camden, New Jersey native and daughter of Puerto Rican parents, is an accomplished Obstetrician-Gynecologist dedicated to compassionate, inclusive care. A graduate of Dr. Charles E. Brimm Medical Arts High School and Rutgers University–New Brunswick, she discovered her passion for medicine during her undergraduate studies. 

Susana Collazo, M.D.

Dr. Susana Collazo, MD, a Camden, New Jersey native and proud daughter of Puerto Rican parents, is a double board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physician at Cooper University Hospital and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University in Camden,NJ, where she also serves as Assistant Director of Mentorship.
